How to play Stock Ticker:

  1. Players start with $10000 to purchase stocks with.
  2. Each stock starts at $100 per share.
  3. During the game, stocks can increase or decrease in value, or pay a Dividend.
  4. Dividends pay out if a stock is above $100 in value, and pay a shareholder based on Number of shares owned x Number on the dividend roll.
  5. Stocks that reach the $200 cap will split, doubling the number of shares held, and resetting the price per share to $100.
  6. Stocks that reach $0 reduce the number of shares held to 0 and reset the price per share to $100.
  7. Players control how they buy/sell shares independently in real-time until the game timer runs out! Once the timer runs out, all shares are sold back at the latest market price and total individual funds held are the player's scores to compare and determine the winner.

Stock Ticker is now in Godot! This engine change and change in development practices is now highly modular and allows for extra game modes to be created. Comment ideas if you think of a fun game mode!
